Guests have a choice of king-size bed or twin beds in the master bedroom and a king size bed in the studio lounge area. A luxury bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and free standing bath, complete with Eco-friendly bath amenities, bathrobes and slippers are included. The wheelchair accessible room was big enough and the bathroom was well equipped with space next to the toilet and a strong fold down shower seat. The room was tidied every day and rubbish taken away. The staff was friendly and helpful. Access from the car park to our hotel room was good. It was great to be able to step into the garden from our room. I was in awe of the view every time we drove up to the hotel; a majestic building with Mount Wellington as backdrop.

The room was exceptionally spacious yet cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious and it also had heated tiles and twin basins. The views of the garden were especially good and the position of the room also provided excellent views of the surrounding area, Kunanyi (Mt. Wellington) was also easily visible from the grounds. Additionally the recently introduced breakfast service was available to us on our first morning and was excellent.

Maylands lodge is unique, it is quiet and has been very well kept. It's a warming lodge with very friendly staff (Jake, thank you for your hospitality!). The room we stayed in was incredible. Large and spacious, clean and warm, bed was super comfy and waking up to high ceilings and large windows with the warm sunlight shining through was a delight! We will most certainly be back here again, we loved LOVED this place!!!
